Operation – Feed West NC

Let’s feed West North Carolina together!

We are particularly targeting families and individuals who have health and dietary issues and can not eat just “any food”. For example: hypertension, diabetes, food allergies, heart problems, elderly, kidney disease, etc.

How do we plan to reach those people?

During the first days of the storm, we were able to donate the meals from our store to the ONLY pharmacy in Fletcher, N.C. that had power. The pharmacist in that store heated up and gave the meals to his customers. These people were extremely grateful and had tears of happiness from the meals. That broke our hearts and we wanted to help more, but didn’t know how.

Fast forward to today, more places now have power, but the situation in grocery stores is very complicated with 2-3 hour lines to buy food, and even worse, the options are also very limited. The pharmacist in Fletcher informed us that many of his regular customers, who have illnesses that requires them to eat healthier, are struggling the most and putting their health at risk, eating “anything” to stay alive. That’s where we want to jump in and HELP!

With your donation, we will make meals that can help these people eat better and continue to take care of their health. With the help of the pharmacist in that CVS we will reach these people who need the meals most and we will continue to spread the word so we can reach more people that also need it. In some cases, food will be delivered to people directly (specially those in remote towns outside of Asheville and Fletcher who have restricted mobility).
